Sony WH-1000XM3 Wireless Noise Canceling Over Ear Headphones

The WH-1000XM3 headphones is the latest addition to Sony’s industry-leading noise-cancelling headphones. Along with the advanced noise-cancelling technology, the headphones have close-fitting earpads and the HD Noise-Cancelling Processor QN1 that enhances noise-cancelling power. The headphones are capable of blocking out both vehicle and daily noise in the city including voices. It also features a unique Atmospheric Pressure Optimizing making it a perfect companion for air travel as it delivers optimal sounds at high altitude. Additionally, Personal Optimizing optimizes sound per user through the analyzing of the sonic characteristics caused by head size, glasses and hair.

The wireless headphones also ensure quality sound with LDAC that transmits about three times more data than conventional Bluetooth audio and produces High-Resolution Audio of exceptional quality that combat that of a wired connection. Meanwhile, a built-in amplifier improves the signal-to-noise ratio and low distortion while powerful 4cm drivers are built with Liquid Crystal Polymer (LCP) diaphragms that can handle heavy beats as well as reproduce a full range of frequencies that reach up to 40kHz.

A favorite feature of the headphones is the smart listening provided by SENSE ENGINE where Adaptive Sound Control automatically detects activity, whether travelling, walking or staying still, and adjusts the ambient sound settings accordingly. Quick Attention allows users to communicate while keeping the headphones on through placing hand over the housing while Ambient Sound Control adjusts ambient sounds with a touch of a button and the Sony Headphones Connect APP. Further features include and Equalizer (also customizable through the app), Virtual Surround Sound and Sound Position Control and hands-free phone calls that can be answered with a double-tap where tracks can also be controlled and volume adjust with a touch or swipe on the panel. A smartphone’s voice assistant can also be accessed with a long press.

Finally, the WH-1000XM3 provides total comfort with soft, pressure-relieving earpads in foamed urethane and a large and deep ergonomic ear space structure which is only enhanced with the lightweight overall structure of the headphones. The headphones can also last up to 30 hours where a 10-minute charge can provide 5 hours of music. It also comes with a cable and a carry case that snugly fits the foldable headphones.
